- St. Thomas devotes more of its operating budget to student scholarships and bursaries than any other university in the region. In fact, more than half of first-year students hold an entrance scholarship, and one in eight of these students holds a renewable scholarship ranging in value from $2,000 to $48,000. Canadian applicants with an admission average of 80% or higher are guaranteed a scholarship.
As you discover more about St. Thomas, you will see why student satisfaction is consistently high. In the 2004 Maclean’s Magazine survey of Graduates (46 universities in Canada), our graduates gave St. Thomas University very high marks for the quality of their educational experience:
- St. Thomas ranked in the top half of all surveyed categories
- St. Thomas ranked 3 rd nationally for total learning environment
- St. Thomas ranked 2 nd nationally for graduates who would recommend the university to a friend or relative
St. Thomas University has a long and proud history and a great institutional sense of purpose that is encapsulated in the goals and value of a liberal education:
