The University of Lethbridge is located 175 km southeast of Calgary in Lethbridge, Alberta, and sits on a beautiful site among the coulees on the west side of the Oldman River. Frequent chinooks during the winter rescue the area from the prairie climate found to the east and north. Proximity to the Rocky Mountains (a 1.5 hour drive) provides opportunities for outdoor activity year round. The university also provides education opportunities at its campuses located in Edmonton and Calgary.
The university offers a personal, flexible and friendly educational experience at the undergraduate, master’s and PhD levels. All undergraduate degree programs include a solid foundation in liberal education. Smaller classes and a commitment to high-quality undergraduate teaching in a scholarly environment give students access to faculty members with national and international reputations. Undergraduates have opportunities to be involved in the research, scholarship and creative work of faculty, giving them an opportunity to develop advanced skills and to experience the intellectual growth that comes from original research. |
